Each week when I prepare my posts I wonder to myself, what am I going to write about this time?  I mean I can easily rave on about the clothing (obvs) but every now & then I get bored doing that! So today I have decided to mention the man behind all of my pics, my husband Steve.

For those who don’t know, my very patient husband takes all of my pictures for my blog. It was out of necessity really.  As much as I would love to have professional photos for each post, I would have no money left!  Maybe one day I will be at a point where I could do that (dreams!) but for now its me, Steve & our Olympus.  In saying that, I look back at my pictures and there are so many in there taken by Steve that truly blow me away.  This week especially.  This photo above is one of my very favourites.  I usually do most of the directing when we shoot, but every now & then Steve will not listen to me & just do his own thing & I think that is when the best pis happen! All I asked this week was to do these pants justice & I think he does that perfectly in this shot.

Now don’t be fooled, even though its my husband who takes my pics, it is definitely not all smiles & laughs.  Most shoots involve both us getting frustrated & arguing when we realise that the location is a disaster or me having an idea in my head & trying to explain it so Steve (a novice photographer who only picked up a camera a year a go) can bring it to life for me. It is not easy or fun sometimes! But somehow at the end we always come out laughing & I manage to convince him to do it all the following weekend.

Also, I don’t make much or hardly any money from my blog, (I am lucky enough to get a few freebies now & then) I simply do this because I love it. And at the end of the day it comes down to me being lucky enough to have a selfless husband that supports me in every way to let me fulfil my dreams.

In saying that, I think as much as I am growing as a blogger, Steve is growing as a photographer and for me this is so exciting.  I hope that I will be blogging for many years to come & that the blog gets bigger & better &  if I can have Steve there with me for the ride then that just makes it all that much worthwhile.

While this post is dedicated to thanking my husband for taking my pics for me, I do have to quickly mention these pants. How delicious are they though?  I cannot lie I am a huge cheerleader for the current 70’s revival & the flared pants is the perfect way to jump on board – for so many reasons.  They are flattering, make your legs look longer, do all of the talking so you don’t have to put much effort into what your wear on top, they can be dressed up of down – you get the drift.  Next time I wear these, I will be adding a plain white tee & leather jacket.

Thanks for visiting, love Barbara-George xo
